Which artificial intelligence companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Washington DC?
Federal contractors and consulting firms are the most active H-1B1 Singapore sponsors for AI roles in Washington DC. Booz Allen Hamilton, Leidos, SAIC, Deloitte, and Accenture Federal Services have filed Labor Condition Applications for machine learning, data science, and AI engineering positions. Technology firms with government-facing divisions, including Palantir and Microsoft Federal, also appear in DOL disclosure data for the DC area.
Which cities in Washington DC have the most artificial intelligence H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Washington DC proper concentrates AI sponsorship roles in areas near federal agencies, including positions tied to DHS, DoD, and intelligence community contractors. The broader DC metro, including nearby Virginia cities like Arlington, McLean, and Reston, extends the pool significantly. Many H-1B1 Singapore LCA filings for DC-based roles list worksite addresses in these Northern Virginia tech corridors due to contractor office locations.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in artificial intelligence typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as computer science, statistics, or electrical engineering. Common qualifying titles include machine learning engineer, data scientist, AI research scientist, natural language processing engineer, and computer vision engineer. Generalist roles or positions where no specific degree field is required generally do not meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find artificial intelligence H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Washington DC?
Migrate Mate filters AI job listings in Washington DC by H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship history, drawing on DOL Labor Condition Application data to surface employers who have actively filed for Singapore nationals in artificial intelligence roles. You can search by job title, employer, and location to identify companies with a verified track record of H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in the DC area, which is more reliable than applying broadly and asking employers individually.
Are there any Washington DC-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in artificial intelligence?
Many AI roles in Washington DC require security clearances, which can complicate H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship because clearances are generally not available to non-U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Singaporean nationals on H-1B1 status are not eligible for most federal security clearances, which can limit access to roles at defense contractors and intelligence community firms. AI positions at non-cleared contractors, commercial divisions, or civilian agency projects are more accessible for H-1B1 Singapore visa holders.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore artificial intelligence jobs in Washington DC?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
