Which artificial intelligence companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in California?
California's AI sector includes many employers with documented H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity, including large technology firms such as Google, Meta, Apple, NVIDIA, and Salesforce, as well as AI-focused companies like Anthropic, Scale AI, and OpenAI. Enterprise software companies and cloud providers with California headquarters also appear regularly in DOL Labor Condition Application filings for AI and machine learning roles.
Which cities in California have the most artificial intelligence H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and Palo Alto, accounts for the highest concentration of AI H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity in California. San Francisco itself hosts numerous AI startups and research labs. Los Angeles is a growing secondary market, with employers in applied AI, entertainment technology, and autonomous systems increasingly filing LCAs for Singaporean nationals.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that commonly qualify include machine learning engineer, data scientist, research scientist, computer vision engineer, natural language processing engineer, AI product manager, and MLOps engineer. Each role must meet the H-1B1 visa specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, or electrical engineering. O*NET occupation profiles can help confirm degree requirements for specific job titles.
How do I find artificial intelligence H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface California AI employers with verified H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history. This is more reliable than a general keyword search because it draws on DOL disclosure data, showing which companies have actually sponsored Singaporean nationals for AI roles rather than those that simply list sponsorship as a possibility.
Are there any California-specific or AI industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
California employment law applies to H-1B1 visa holders the same as any employee, including at-will employment rules and wage transparency requirements. In the AI industry specifically, employers frequently use the H-1B visa1 for roles at California research labs and product teams. Because the H-1B1 has no lottery and a separate annual cap from the standard H-1B, employers familiar with the category can move through the LCA and visa process on a more predictable timeline, though approval is never guaranteed.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore artificial intelligence jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
