You will take on the role of a driver and organizer to ensure production intent changes are validated and ensure readiness for the manufacturing line. You will develop project schedules, identify risks, and drive internal and external teams to meet deliverables.

- Establish timelines and drive deliverables cross-functionally to minimize impact to manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate with hardware and software engineering, logistics and supply chain, manufacturing operations, and the test team to source, validate, and plan cut-ins to the line.
- Highlight risks and clearly communicate to stakeholders, and continuously evaluate schedule impact.
- Own the planning for demand and retrofit planning, incorporating a schedule for trials and validation.

- 8+ years of industry experience in a similar role spanning project management and engineering. This role requires technical expertise in conjunction with strong project management skills.
- Experience driving complex projects in a cross-functional environment with competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences (senior management, engineers) using written and verbal methods as appropriate.
- Strong expertise in common tools for project management - Jira, Google Suite (spreadsheets, slides), planning tools such as Gantt charts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a similar NPI role in electronics or automotive manufacturing.
- Aptitude for learning new skills and technologies, for example, using AI to automate and simplify KPI calculations and reporting.
- Ability to distill complex technical information into clear messages for the audience
- Track record of managing complex projects at other autonomous vehicle companies.
- Familiarity with data analysis - knowledge of programming (Python or similar) and data analysis/extraction (SQL, Looker) are definite pluses.

Which automotive companies in California sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
California-based automotive employers with documented H-1B1 visa sponsorship activity include Tesla, Rivian, Lucid Motors, Waymo, and Cruise, along with Tier 1 suppliers such as Aptiv and BorgWarner operating regional engineering centers. Sponsorship patterns vary by employer and role, so reviewing DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data through OFLC gives the most accurate picture of which companies have filed for specific job titles.
Which California cities have the most automotive H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area leads, anchored by Tesla's Fremont manufacturing plant and the autonomous vehicle clusters in San Jose and Mountain View. Greater Los Angeles, including Torrance and Santa Monica, hosts several OEM technical centers and EV startups. Rivian and Lucid Motors maintain significant engineering operations in the Bay Area and the greater Sacramento region, adding further concentration of sponsored roles.
What types of automotive roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in California?
Roles that commonly meet the H-1B1 specialty occupation standard include vehicle systems engineers, battery and powertrain engineers, embedded software developers, autonomous driving researchers, and supply chain analysts with engineering degrees. The position must require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. General assembly or technician roles requiring only trade qualifications typically do not meet the specialty occupation threshold. O*NET occupation profiles can help confirm whether a specific role qualifies.
How do I find automotive H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface California automotive employers with verified H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history. Rather than sorting through general job postings where sponsorship status is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces companies that have actively filed Labor Condition Applications for H-1B1 Singapore roles, giving Singapore nationals a direct, reliable starting point for their job search.
Are there California-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in the automotive sector?
California's strict employment laws, including its robust worker classification rules, mean automotive employers are accustomed to complex compliance requirements, which can make them more experienced with sponsored hires. The state's zero-emission vehicle mandates have accelerated EV hiring, expanding the pool of specialty occupation roles. H-1B1 Singapore holders should also confirm their employer is E-Verify enrolled, as federal contractors operating in California are required to participate.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore automotive jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
