Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Commercial Modifications Engineering team in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and maintenance of electrical product details, assembly, and installation designs for a diverse range of commercial aircraft, from the 737 to the state-of-the-art Boeing 777X.

Position Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems, including equipment racks, power panels, cable routing, and antenna configurations
- Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests)
- Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets
- Works with customers and suppliers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
- Document processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacturing of electrical commodities
- Review supplier technical data to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
- Provide in-service technical support and troubleshooting to airlines and modification sites
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Computer Aided Design Tools
- Knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics).
Engineering Drawings & Specs
