Which companies sponsor visas for operations roles in Washington?
Amazon, Microsoft, Boeing, and Starbucks are among Washington's most consistent H-1B visa sponsors for operations roles, given their large operational footprints in the Seattle metro area. T-Mobile, Costco, and Expedia also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA filings for operations-related positions, including supply chain, logistics, and operations management titles.
Which visa types are most common for operations roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for operations roles in Washington, particularly for positions requiring a specialized degree in fields like supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business operations. The L-1A is relevant for operations managers transferring from a foreign affiliate. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying operations-adjacent roles under USMCA.
Which cities in Washington have the most operations sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Bellevue account for the overwhelming majority of operations visa sponsorship activity in Washington, reflecting the concentration of major tech, retail, and aerospace employers in the greater Puget Sound region. Redmond is significant for Microsoft-related roles. Everett sees Boeing-driven operations hiring, and Tacoma has logistics and port-related operations demand tied to its major shipping infrastructure.
How to find operations visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse operations roles in Washington without sorting through positions that won't support work authorization. You can narrow results by city or employer type, which is useful given how heavily Seattle and Bellevue dominate sponsorship activity for supply chain, logistics, and operations management positions in the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations visa sponsorship in Washington?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations and compensation benchmarking in DOL Labor Condition Applications for H-1B filings. The state's aerospace and tech industries create strong demand for operations specialists with industry-specific backgrounds. University of Washington and Washington State University also produce operations and supply chain graduates who compete actively for the same sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
