Which companies sponsor visas for operations roles in Florida?
Large employers with significant Florida operations are among the most consistent sponsors. Amazon has major fulfillment and logistics facilities throughout the state, Ryder System is headquartered in Miami and regularly hires operations professionals, and defense contractors like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon operate near Orlando and Cape Canaveral. Port authorities and freight companies in Miami and Tampa also file sponsorships for supply chain and operations positions.
Which visa types are most common for operations roles in Florida?
The H-1B visa is the most widely used visa for operations roles that require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or logistics. Operations analysts, process improvement specialists, and planning managers typically qualify. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations. Some multinational employers also use the L-1 visa to transfer experienced operations managers from overseas offices.
Which cities in Florida have the most operations sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads the state given its status as a gateway for Latin American trade and home to major logistics, shipping, and corporate headquarters. Orlando follows closely, driven by aerospace, defense, and hospitality operations employers. Tampa has a growing concentration of finance and healthcare operations roles. Jacksonville, as one of the largest cities in the continental U.S. by land area, supports significant warehousing, distribution, and port operations hiring.
How to find operations visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to employers who sponsor visas, so you can search operations roles in Florida without sorting through positions that offer no sponsorship pathway. The platform covers titles ranging from operations analyst and supply chain coordinator to logistics manager and process engineer. Narrowing your search to Florida on Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have an active history of filing sponsorships for operations professionals in the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations visa sponsorship in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since take-home pay differs from states like California or New York at the same gross salary. The state's concentration of port and logistics activity around Miami and Tampa means operations roles here often involve international trade compliance experience, which strengthens sponsorship cases for specialty occupation classification. Florida's large defense corridor near Orlando also creates demand for operations professionals with engineering or technical degrees.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
