Which companies sponsor visas for operations professionals in Delaware?
DuPont and Chemours are among Delaware's most established visa sponsors for operations roles, particularly in chemical and industrial operations. Major financial institutions headquartered or incorporated in Wilmington, including JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America's Delaware operations divisions, also sponsor H-1B and other work visas for qualified candidates. Delaware's high concentration of corporate registrations means many multinational employers with active sponsorship programs maintain operations staff in the state.
Which visa types are most common for operations roles in Delaware?
The H-1B is the most common visa for operations professionals in Delaware, covering roles like operations analyst, supply chain manager, and process improvement specialist that require a relevant bachelor's degree. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or engineering-adjacent operations roles. L-1 visas are also relevant for multinational companies transferring operations managers from overseas offices into their Delaware locations.
Which cities in Delaware have the most operations sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the large majority of operations visa sponsorship activity in Delaware, driven by its financial services sector and the presence of chemical industry giants. Newark, home to the University of Delaware, has a smaller but growing cluster of operations roles tied to research commercialization and logistics. Dover, the state capital, offers public-sector-adjacent operations opportunities, though sponsorship activity there is more limited.
How to find operations visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters operations roles in Delaware by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're not sorting through listings from employers who won't sponsor. Search by role type within Delaware to surface positions at companies like DuPont, Chemours, and Wilmington-based financial firms. Migrate Mate also provides visa-specific guidance alongside job listings, which helps you evaluate whether a role fits your visa category before applying.
Are there any Delaware-specific considerations for operations visa sponsorship?
Delaware's status as the incorporation home for more than half of all U.S. publicly traded companies means many operations roles are tied to holding companies or corporate entities rather than active production facilities, which can affect how roles are classified for LCA prevailing wage purposes. Operations candidates should confirm that a role involves substantive duties qualifying as a specialty occupation, not just administrative coordination, since USCIS scrutinizes operations titles more carefully than technical ones.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
