Which companies sponsor visas for operations roles in Oregon?
Oregon's largest visa sponsors for operations roles include Intel, Nike, and Precision Castparts, all of which have filed Labor Condition Applications for operations and supply chain positions. Amazon's extensive fulfillment and logistics network in the Portland metro also sponsors operations talent. Adidas North America, headquartered in Portland, regularly hires for operations and sourcing roles with sponsorship history through H-1B visa filings.
Which visa types are most common for operations roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for operations roles in Oregon, particularly for positions requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business operations. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management and engineering classifications. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT extensions frequently transition into sponsored roles through Oregon's manufacturing and technology employers.
Which cities in Oregon have the most operations sponsorship jobs?
Portland and the surrounding metro, including Beaverton and Hillsboro, account for the large majority of operations sponsorship jobs in Oregon. Hillsboro is home to Intel's largest U.S. campus, generating significant demand for operations and manufacturing support roles. Eugene has a smaller but growing presence in distribution and logistics. Salem sees activity in food manufacturing and agricultural supply chain operations tied to the Willamette Valley.
How to find operations visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship jobs, including operations roles in Oregon. You can filter directly by state and role type to surface employers with active sponsorship history. Because operations is a broad function, searching across titles like supply chain analyst, logistics coordinator, and operations manager on Migrate Mate will give you the most complete picture of available sponsorship opportunities in Oregon.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations visa sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon does not impose state-level visa or work authorization requirements beyond federal standards, but prevailing wage compliance under the H-1B is particularly relevant in the Portland metro, where the Department of Labor tracks wage levels for operations and supply chain roles separately from rural Oregon. Oregon's concentration of semiconductor and advanced manufacturing employers also means that ITAR-related security requirements can affect hiring eligibility for some operations positions at defense-adjacent companies like Precision Castparts.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
