Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manager – Coding Operations & Revenue Integrity to oversee medical coding operations, physician/professional coding, charge capture, coding audits, and revenue integrity initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive healthcare revenue cycle experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a thorough understanding of medical coding standards, payer requirements, reimbursement processes, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or team management experience.
- Must hold at least one of the following certifications:
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- Strong experience in physician/professional coding, coding audits, charge capture, and revenue integrity.
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- Knowledge of healthcare coding standards, payer requirements, reimbursement policies, and compliance regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage coding operations, monitor performance, and improve operational processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in downtown Houston, TX.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a hospital, academic medical center, health system, or physician billing environment.
- Experience managing medical coding or revenue cycle teams.
- Knowledge of coding quality assurance, documentation improvement, denial prevention, and reimbursement optimization.
