What you’ll do:
Essential Job Functions & Tasks
- Provide a range of communications support, including internal communications and media relations, to assigned business unit/operating company.
- Monitor operating company social media conversations, including those on Facebook and Twitter, and coordinate engagement/response to those conversations with members of the Communication team.
- Gather media data, including social media posts, news postings, and industry articles, to provide operating company leadership and employees feedback on customer and industry conversations and issues.
- Provide support to corporate branding through familiarity and support of corporate identity standards in printed and electronic communications.

What you’ll do:
Essential Job Functions & Tasks
- Participates and assists in the development and administration of moderately complex communications assignments.
- Provide a range of communications support (media relations, community relations, internal communications, public relations, social media, script writing, video editing, etc.) to assigned business units/operating companies.
- Provides support to corporate branding and advertising effort through familiarity and support of corporate identity standards in printed and electronic communications and counsel to Line of Business and enterprise clients.
- Supports special events, open houses, promotional display programs and other services for marketing and customer communications purposes.

- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills tailored to print, web, video and other platforms.

- Conduct interviews and write news stories for internal print and electronic media.

- Operating company - Support communication efforts of operating company: Develop ideas and write/produce videos for news items and stories. Provide support for internal and external websites. Provide local media response and after-hours media duty in rotation with other staff. Take photos. Support customer outreach initiatives including providing content for external events, presentations, etc. (powerpoint presentations, speeches). Write video scripts, shoot and edit videos. Plan events as needed. Coordinate speakers bureau. Develop and respond to social and media posts. Participate in educational outreach programs. Support storm restoration communication.
