- Experience supporting ERP system migrations, integrations, or upgrades
- Exposure to business intelligence or data visualization tools — Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Background working with engineering or operations data in an industrial manufacturing environment — machinery BOMs, part obsolescence tracking, order metrics
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and documented data stewardship practices
- Experience training or guiding end users on data entry standards and ERP best practices

Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for data contributor roles?
Epic Systems in Verona is one of the most active sponsors for data-related roles in Wisconsin, given its scale in healthcare software. American Family Insurance and Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee also hire for data contributor positions with sponsorship history. The University of Wisconsin system sponsors international hires for research-adjacent data roles across its Madison and Milwaukee campuses.
Which visa types are most common for data contributor jobs in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data contributor roles in Wisconsin, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT through Wisconsin universities like UW-Madison can often begin work before an H-1B is filed. TN visas apply to qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible data-related classifications.
How to find data contributor visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for data contributor roles in Wisconsin without wading through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings in cities like Madison, Milwaukee, and Green Bay, where data-focused hiring is most active among health tech, insurance, and research employers.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most data contributor sponsorship jobs?
Madison leads Wisconsin for data contributor sponsorship opportunities, driven by Epic Systems, UW-Madison research operations, and a growing health tech cluster in the surrounding Dane County area. Milwaukee follows, with financial services firms like Northwestern Mutual and Fiserv contributing to demand. Green Bay and Appleton have a smaller but present share of data roles tied to manufacturing analytics and regional healthcare networks.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for data contributor visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B mean employers must pay the Department of Labor's determined wage for the relevant data contributor classification and geographic area, which differs between Madison and Milwaukee metro zones. UW-Madison and Marquette University produce a pipeline of international graduates who often transition from OPT into sponsored roles, making campus-connected employers particularly familiar with the sponsorship process for data positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data contributor jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
