Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for office managers?
Healthcare organizations are among the most active sponsors in Wisconsin, including UW Health and Advocate Aurora Health. Large manufacturers headquartered in Milwaukee, Oshkosh, and Appleton also file sponsorships for office management roles. The University of Wisconsin system occasionally sponsors qualified candidates in administrative positions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and depends on whether the role meets specialty occupation requirements under the applicable visa category.
Which visa types are most common for office manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for office manager positions in Wisconsin, but it requires demonstrating the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, meaning a specific bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field is typically required. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA if the role fits an eligible category. The O-1 visa applies only in cases of extraordinary ability, which rarely fits standard office management work.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most office manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee concentrates the largest share of Wisconsin sponsorship activity for office managers, driven by its healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing sectors. Madison follows closely, supported by UW Health, state government adjacent organizations, and a growing tech sector. Green Bay and Appleton see activity from manufacturing and packaging industry employers. Smaller markets like Racine and Kenosha occasionally post sponsored roles tied to regional corporate offices.
How to find office manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for office manager roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. You can filter by location, role type, and visa category. Because Wisconsin sponsorship for office managers is concentrated in healthcare, manufacturing, and higher education, focusing your search on those sectors on Migrate Mate will return the most relevant results.
Are there state-specific considerations for office manager visa sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers sponsoring H-1B office managers must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the Milwaukee, Madison, or relevant metropolitan area, which varies by experience level and location. The state's strong healthcare and manufacturing base means many sponsored office manager roles require industry-specific credentials, such as experience with healthcare compliance or ERP systems common in manufacturing. University of Wisconsin programs in business administration serve as a pipeline for international candidates already in the state on F-1 status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored office manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
