Manage the full patient lifecycle by greeting visitors, handling check-in/out, and scheduling or confirming appointments.
Secure necessary documentation, verify patient demographics, and obtain insurance authorizations or precertifications.
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and previous balances and reconcile reports and deposits to ensure financial accuracy.
Answer telephones, screen calls, take messages, and provide essential clerical support.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
+ Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
What additional requirements you'll need:
40 hours a week | M-F | 8:30 AM - 5 PM | Flexibility with covering the AM opening shift on rare occasions. Wednesday's shift may include 9 AM - 5:30 PM as needed | No weekends or holidays
Previous medical receptionist experience including insurance verification, medical terminology, multi-line phone systems, and HIPAA privacy rules and using Epic
