Which companies sponsor visas for operations project managers in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin manufacturers and healthcare technology firms have an established record of sponsoring operations project managers. Oshkosh Corporation, Kohler Co., Rockwell Automation, and Epic Systems have all appeared in Department of Labor disclosure data for H-1B visa filings in project management and operations roles. Large healthcare networks including Advocate Aurora Health also sponsor for operations-focused positions. Sponsorship availability varies by hiring cycle and role definition, so verifying current openings directly with each employer is important.
Which visa types are most common for operations project manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for operations project managers in Wisconsin, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, or business operations. Some multinational employers in Wisconsin also use the L-1B or L-1A for intracompany transferees moving into operations management. TN visas are an option for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupational categories.
How to find operations project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Wisconsin employers actively open to sponsoring operations project managers rather than sifting through roles that don't address sponsorship at all. You can narrow results to Wisconsin cities like Milwaukee, Madison, or Appleton and focus on industries like manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare IT where sponsorship for this role type is more common. Reviewing employer H-1B disclosure data alongside Migrate Mate listings helps confirm a company's sponsorship history.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most operations project manager sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is Wisconsin's largest hiring market for operations project managers, anchored by manufacturing, distribution, and financial operations employers. Madison follows closely, driven by healthcare technology companies like Epic Systems and a strong university-connected employer base. The Fox Valley region, including Appleton and Oshkosh, is notable for industrial and manufacturing operations roles tied to companies like Oshkosh Corporation. Green Bay also generates openings through its food processing, packaging, and logistics sectors.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations project manager sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's economy is heavily weighted toward manufacturing and industrial operations, which means many operations project manager roles here require familiarity with production environments, supply chain coordination, or lean process improvement rather than purely office-based project work. Employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific region and job level when sponsoring an H-1B, and Wisconsin has distinct wage tiers across Milwaukee, Madison, and rural areas. Candidates with engineering or supply chain academic backgrounds tend to have stronger specialty occupation arguments for H-1B eligibility in this state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations project manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
