Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for senior project management roles?
Several large Wisconsin employers have filed H-1B petitions for project management positions, including Kohler Co., Johnson Controls, Advocate Aurora Health, Northwestern Mutual, and Rexnord. State and federal DOL disclosure data shows these organizations have sponsored senior-level roles requiring program oversight, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership. Sponsorship activity tends to be concentrated among larger enterprises rather than small or mid-sized firms.
What visa types are most common for senior project management jobs in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for senior project management roles in Wisconsin, provided the position requires a specialized degree, typically in engineering, business, or information technology. Candidates with multinational employer relationships may qualify for an L-1A or L-1B. Those with extraordinary achievement in their field could explore O-1 visa classification, though that requires substantial documented recognition.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most senior project management sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the primary concentration point, driven by its manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare sectors. Madison follows, supported by the University of Wisconsin system, state government contractors, and a growing technology industry. Green Bay has notable activity in packaging and food manufacturing. Racine and Kenosha also see sponsorship from large industrial employers operating in the region.
How to find senior project management visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have indicated visa sponsorship availability, making it more targeted than general job searches. For senior project management roles in Wisconsin, you can filter by state and seniority level to surface relevant openings at employers like healthcare networks, manufacturers, and technology firms. Checking listings regularly gives you the best view of active sponsoring employers.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for senior project management visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are tied to the Milwaukee or Madison metropolitan areas, depending on work location, and senior roles typically fall into higher wage tiers. Wisconsin's manufacturing and healthcare industries drive significant demand for project leaders with PMP credentials or equivalent experience. Candidates whose degrees align with the technical domain, such as engineering or healthcare administration, generally see stronger sponsorship interest from Wisconsin employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored senior project management jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
