Our fleet of trucks, harvesters, forklifts, tractors can deliver an entire football field in a day and a few pallets to contractors, nurseries, athletic fields, and golf courses.
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles and machinery. You will be responsible for ensuring the functionality of machines, engines, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as direct staff for minor maintenance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and systems
- Excellent knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components
- Ability to read instructions, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Practical knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment
- High school diploma is preferred; Certificate from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship a plus
- Knowledge of Welding, Cutting Torch, and Plasma Cutter
- Ability to stand, bend, crouch, climb, push/pull frequently & lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have own tools.
- Minnesota Truck Inspector for In-shop Vehicles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Willingness to participate in ASE certification program. Training, testing, and bonuses provided!
- Does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason
Responsibilities
- Triage problems, repairs, and responsibilities to continue company operations
- Maintain, Repair & Track agriculture and transportation equipment year-round
- Maintain clean shop, equipment & tools to ensure they are kept safe/usable condition
- Proficiency in computer search and phone networking to order necessary parts & supplies as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections
- Conduct visits on the farm in the event of an emergency or sudden breakdown
- Assist/Perform mobile emergency services
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
