INTRODUCTION
Criteo is seeking a Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships to help architect and scale some of the company’s most important platform relationships. This role sits at the center of how Criteo works with leading technology platforms across AI, retail media, performance marketing, and data, including partners such as Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Meta, and others. The role combines building new ecosystem partnerships with expanding and operationalizing existing strategic relationships. This is not a traditional partnership management role. The focus is on structuring strategic platform partnerships and integrations that unlock new capabilities and revenue for Criteo. This role requires someone comfortable operating with senior leaders both internally and at major technology platforms to structure partnerships that unlock meaningful product and commercial opportunities. Many successful candidates for this role come from top-tier consulting, strategy, or platform partnership backgrounds, and bring a strong ability to break down complex problems, develop a clear point of view, and turn that thinking into real-world execution. You will independently own complex partnership initiatives from strategy through execution — identifying opportunities, structuring multi-dimensional agreements, and driving cross-functional delivery across Product, Engineering, GTM, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and legal. This role goes beyond structuring deals. You will turn partnerships into scalable product and go-to-market initiatives that drive meaningful growth for Criteo. You will define how each partnership fits into Criteo’s platform strategy, determine the right commercial motion, and drive execution across product, sales, and partner teams.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Growth Partnerships team sits within Criteo’s Strategy & Business Development organization. Our mandate is to identify, structure, and scale partnerships that fuel Criteo’s next phase of growth and platform evolution. Growth Partnerships partners closely with:
- Corporate Strategy
- M&A
- Product & Engineering
- Go-To-Market (GTM) teams
- Finance & Legal
- Executive Leadership Team
The team is intentionally small, entrepreneurial, and has high impact, with meaningful exposure to senior leadership and major industry partners. Growth Partnerships is also a communication-first organization. Clear thinking, structured writing, and executive-level communication are core to success.
Architect Strategic Partnerships:
- Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities that materially expand Criteo’s platform capabilities and market position.
- Develop strategic theses and business cases for ecosystem partnerships with major technology platforms.
- Structure and negotiate complex agreements across commercial, product, and technical dimensions.
Create Enterprise Value Through Ecosystem Strategy:
- Operate above individual deals to understand how partnerships collectively create durable platform advantage.
- Design partnerships that unlock new product capabilities, revenue streams, distribution advantages, or data assets.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate partnership strategy into product roadmaps and integrations.
- Partner with Finance and Strategy teams to model long-term value creation and ROI.
Define Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Ensure each partnership has a clear commercial and go-to-market strategy, including positioning, distribution, and monetization.
- Work with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to determine how new partner capabilities are brought to market.
- Identify the operating model required to scale each partnership across Criteo’s global business.
Drive Cross-Functional Execution:
- Translate strategic agreements into operational programs and launches.
- Lead cross-functional workstreams across Product, Engineering, GTM, Legal, Finance, and Operations.
- Ensure initiatives move from concept → launch → scale with clear accountability and performance tracking.
Operate at Executive Altitude:
- Represent Criteo in senior-level partner engagements.
- Lead executive discussions with major technology platforms and ecosystem partners.
- Prepare strategic narratives, partnership proposals, and updates for internal leadership.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a strategic operator who enjoys building things that don’t yet exist. You combine the structured thinking of a strategist with the execution mindset of an operator. You are comfortable working in ambiguous environments and thrive when solving complex ecosystem problems. You communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
WHO THRIVES IN THIS ROLE
This role is best suited for individuals who enjoy operating at the intersection of strategy, product, and business development. People who thrive here tend to:
- Think in systems, not just individual deals. You naturally look for how partnerships fit together to create long-term platform advantage.
- Be comfortable with ambiguity. Many of the opportunities we pursue do not come with a clear playbook. You enjoy starting with a blank page and building the strategy.
- Move easily between strategy and execution. You can develop the strategic thesis behind a partnership and then work cross-functionally to make it real.
- Communicate with clarity and influence. You are comfortable engaging senior leaders, distilling complex ideas, and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Have intellectual curiosity about technology platforms. You enjoy understanding how large ecosystems evolve and where partnerships can unlock new value. The best candidates are builders who enjoy shaping opportunities that do not yet fully exist.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Level (Director or Sr Director) will depend on experience.
- Experience in management consulting (e.g., BCG, Bain, McKinsey), corporate strategy, or business development at a technology company
- Experience working on platform partnerships within large technology ecosystems
- Track record of structuring complex strategic partnerships or ecosystem initiatives

How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Senior Director Strategic Partnerships
Lead with quantified partnership outcomes
Directors who can cite specific revenue impact, deal volume, or partner ecosystem growth give employers a concrete business case for sponsorship. Vague claims about 'driving partnerships' won't move a hiring manager to commit to visa costs and timelines.
Target companies with existing visa infrastructure
Enterprises with dedicated immigration teams process H-1B and L-1A petitions far faster than startups doing it for the first time. A company that has sponsored before already understands the cost, timeline, and compliance requirements involved.
Understand how L-1A applies to your path
If you've managed partnerships at a multinational's overseas office, L-1A intracompany transfer status may be faster than H-1B. It bypasses the lottery entirely and directly reflects executive or managerial function, which this role typically satisfies.
Frame your degree and experience together
H-1B specialty occupation requires a degree in a directly related field. A business, economics, or finance degree paired with senior-level partnership experience typically satisfies this. Mismatches between degree field and role scope are a common RFE trigger.
Address immigration early in the process
Senior Directors often reach late interview rounds before sponsorship is discussed. Raising it after an offer creates friction. Confirming the employer's willingness to sponsor before the final round saves time and avoids uncomfortable post-offer negotiations.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsorship-ready employers
Not every company that lists this title will sponsor. Migrate Mate surfaces Senior Director Strategic Partnerships roles specifically from employers who have indicated visa sponsorship willingness, reducing time spent on applications that will never result in an offer.

Which visa categories are typically used to sponsor Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships roles?
H-1B is the most common path, treating the role as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in business, finance, strategy, or a related field. L-1A is a strong alternative for candidates transferring from an overseas office of the same company, given the managerial scope. Exceptional candidates with an established record in the field may also qualify for O-1A based on extraordinary ability.
Does this role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships generally qualifies because the role requires specialized knowledge in business development, contract structuring, and executive relationship management that is normally associated with a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. The key risk is if a job description is written broadly enough that USCIS could argue any degree suffices. Employers should ensure the posting specifies a degree in business, finance, economics, or a directly related field.
How does L-1A sponsorship work for this title specifically?
L-1A covers intracompany transferees in executive or managerial roles. A Senior Director managing a partnerships team or function, with subordinate staff and budget authority, typically meets the managerial definition. You must have worked for the sponsoring company's affiliated foreign entity for at least one continuous year within the past three years. L-1A bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely, making it a faster path for qualifying candidates.
What degree background do employers expect for sponsorship at this level?
Most employers sponsoring Senior Director Strategic Partnerships roles expect a bachelor's degree at minimum in business administration, marketing, economics, finance, or a related field. An MBA is frequently listed as preferred and strengthens both the candidacy and the H-1B specialty occupation argument. Some employers accept equivalent combinations of education and progressive experience, but a relevant degree is the cleaner path through USCIS review.
Where can I find Senior Director Strategic Partnerships jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for candidates who need sponsorship. You can browse Senior Director Strategic Partnerships openings from employers who have demonstrated sponsorship willingness, rather than filtering through general job listings where visa policy is unclear or buried. This saves considerable time when you're targeting roles where sponsorship is a non-negotiable requirement.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Senior Director Strategic Partnerships jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
