Entry Level Waiter Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level waiter job?
Employers hiring entry level waiters look for a positive attitude, reliable availability, and basic food-service awareness rather than years of experience. Highlighting any customer-facing work, even volunteer shifts or school cafeteria roles, gives you an edge. A food handler certification, familiarity with point-of-sale systems, and the ability to work a fast-paced floor are the details that move applications forward at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level waiters?
Companies hiring entry level waiters right now include Google, Qualcomm, and Amazon Web Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Independent restaurants, casual dining chains, hotel food and beverage departments, and event venues are among the most active employers at this experience level.
Are there remote entry level waiter jobs?
Yes, though remote options are limited given the hands-on nature of table service. About 27% of entry level waiter openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be in adjacent roles such as virtual event coordination or phone-based hospitality support rather than traditional floor service positions.
Are these new grad waiter jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles suited to candidates just entering the hospitality workforce. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship shifts or part-time service work as qualifying background, and does not require a specific certification beyond a basic food handler card.
Which industries hire the most entry level waiters?
Entry Level waiter roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Artificial Intelligence, and Electronics & Hardware, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because high customer volume and frequent staff turnover create a steady need for new talent willing to learn service standards on the job.
