About the Role
HP is modernizing the HR and employee service experience for our global workforce. We’re seeking a Product Manager to lead the strategy and roadmap for our HR Service Delivery and workflow automation platforms—primarily ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD)—and to build an intelligent, automated, agent-enabled service model across the Hire-to-Retire lifecycle.
This is a strategic individual contributor role. You’ll own the product vision for the platforms that power HR service operations, designing solutions that improve employee and manager productivity and scale through AI and automation. Success depends on strong systems thinking, service design expertise, and the ability to influence across global, cross-functional teams—without direct authority.
What You’ll Do
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for HR Service Delivery, with primary ownership of ServiceNow HRSD and related workflow and automation capabilities.
- Define and continuously improve the end-to-end digital experience for employees and managers—self-service, guided support, and faster resolution with less manual effort.
- Partner in the design HR workflows across the employee lifecycle that support a tiered service model (self-service, service desk, specialist) and consistent global delivery.
- Lead product requirements, user acceptance testing (UAT), and pilots—including agent-enabled and automation use cases—using results to guide roadmap priorities.
- Advance AI-assisted and agent-enabled service delivery with AI and automation teams, aligned to HP’s broader digital workforce strategy.
- Ensure alignment across the HR ecosystem—ServiceNow, Workday, and adjacent platforms—and with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.
- Partner with HR operations, shared services, and Centers of Excellence, and collaborate with vendors to align platform capabilities with HP’s priorities.
- Provide clear direction on priorities, sequencing, and scope to delivery teams, enabling aligned execution against roadmap objectives.
- Ensure platform decisions consider scalability, user experience, data integrity, and compliance across global regions.
- Serve as a trusted subject-matter expert—sharing best practices across the HR technology community and staying current on trends in shared services, digital experience, and AI-enabled service delivery.
- Lead and orchestrate proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot programs for new capabilities (e.g., AI-enabled solutions), partnering with delivery teams to validate feasibility, business value, and scalability before broader rollout.
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate pilot outcomes and inform roadmap priorities, balancing innovation with operational readiness.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in HR Technology, service delivery platforms, or product management.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HRSD or a similar case management platform.
- Strong understanding of HR shared services and service delivery operating models.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, manage competing priorities, scope and sequence work, and drive alignment.
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform product decisions.
- Experience designing end-to-end workflows and employee-facing digital experiences.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with Workday or other HR platforms.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and use data to drive outcomes.
- Proven success leading complex HR service delivery technology initiatives in global enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and transforming services with agentic AI.
- Familiarity with AI and automation in service delivery (agent assist, workflow automation).
- Background in service operations, UX, or digital transformation.
- Participation in HR technology forums or product communities.

Senior Level Workflow Automation Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level workflow automation specialist job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who have owned automation programs from design through deployment, not just maintained existing workflows. Demonstrating that you have made architectural decisions, led cross-functional rollouts, and measurably reduced process friction gives you a clear edge. A portfolio of complex, multi-system integrations and evidence of mentoring junior staff will strengthen your candidacy significantly.
Which companies hire senior level workflow automation specialists?
Companies hiring senior level workflow automation specialists right now include HP, Guidewire, and Amazon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from large enterprises running complex operations, as well as technology firms and consulting organizations building out internal automation centers of excellence.
Are there remote senior level workflow automation specialist jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are widely available at the senior level. About 50% of senior level workflow automation specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting strong employer demand for experienced automation professionals regardless of location. On-site roles do exist, typically at organizations with sensitive systems or those in regulated industries.
What makes a workflow automation specialist role senior level?
Senior level roles are defined by ownership and scope. Where a mid-level specialist executes within a defined system, a senior specialist sets the automation strategy, selects tooling, and is accountable for outcomes across an organization. These positions also carry a mentoring responsibility, guiding junior and mid-level team members, and require the technical depth to evaluate trade-offs across platforms and integrations independently.
Which industries hire the most senior level workflow automation specialists?
Senior level workflow automation specialist roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because their scale and operational complexity create sustained demand for professionals who can design, govern, and continuously improve enterprise-grade automation programs.
