Account Associate Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an account associate job in Chicago?
Focus your search on the Loop, River North, and Fulton Market, where financial services firms, SaaS companies, and healthcare organizations concentrate most of their account teams. Candidates who stand out in Chicago typically have experience with CRM platforms, a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships under volume, and familiarity with at least one of the city's dominant sectors. Networking through local industry groups and applying directly to companies with Chicago-based sales or client success teams moves faster than broad national searches.
Which companies hire account associates in Chicago?
Chicago account associate roles are posted by NielsenIQ, HUB International, and GATX and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Chicago's employer base skews heavily toward financial technology firms, insurance and financial services companies, and enterprise software vendors with Midwest headquarters or major regional offices in the city.
Are there remote account associate jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type. Desk-based and analytically focused account associate positions tend to offer remote or hybrid flexibility, while roles requiring in-person client visits or on-site coordination are mostly office-bound. About 91% of account associate openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Client-facing work in Chicago's financial and tech sectors most commonly offers hybrid schedules anchored to downtown office locations.
How can I get an account associate job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through companies that hire account coordinators or sales development representatives and promote from within. Insurance carriers along the Magnificent Mile, mid-size SaaS firms in the West Loop, and staffing agencies with large Chicago client rosters regularly hire entry-level candidates and train on the job. Internships at Chicago-based financial services or technology companies also convert to full-time account roles at a higher rate than most other industries in the city.
Which industries hire the most account associates in Chicago?
Most account associate openings in Chicago sit in Technology & Software and Marketing & Advertising, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Chicago's position as a Midwest hub for commodities trading, insurance, enterprise software, and healthcare administration creates consistent, year-round demand for account-focused roles across all experience levels.
