Account Specialist Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an account specialist in Texas?
Most account specialist roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with demonstrated client-facing or sales experience. Texas does not require a state-issued license for general account specialist work. Employers in energy and financial services may prefer candidates familiar with Texas-specific regulatory environments, and earning a Certified Sales Professional or similar industry credential strengthens applications in competitive Dallas and Houston markets.
Which companies hire account specialists in Texas?
Employers hiring account specialists in Texas right now include OneMain Financial, Bank OZK, and CHRISTUS Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in Houston and Dallas means large enterprise employers consistently post account specialist openings across energy, technology, and telecommunications sectors.
Which Texas cities have the most account specialist jobs?
Houston, Dallas, and Austin have the most account specialist openings in Texas. Houston's dominance in energy and petrochemical services drives a large share of B2B account roles, while Dallas's corporate headquarters concentration in technology, finance, and retail fuels steady demand, and Austin's expanding technology sector adds to the overall volume.
Are there remote account specialist jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields, since account specialist work is largely desk-based and client communication happens digitally. About 13% of account specialist openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how widely distributed this role has become. Roles focused on inbound account management, renewals, and customer success tend to offer the most remote flexibility.
How can I get hired as an account specialist in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to inside sales coordinator or customer success associate roles at large Texas employers like Dell Technologies, AT&T, or major Houston energy firms, which regularly bring in candidates without direct account management experience. A lateral move from customer service, administrative support, or retail sales is widely accepted as a starting point. Completing a Salesforce certification or a HubSpot Sales Software credential before applying gives entry-level candidates a concrete advantage in competitive Dallas and Austin hiring pools.
Where can I find and apply to account specialist jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to account specialist jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across Houston, Dallas, Austin, and beyond. Find roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to each one.
