Entry Level Administrative Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level administrative assistant job?
Focus on demonstrating core skills employers look for at this stage: calendar management, written communication, and comfort with office software like Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Internship experience, volunteer work, or even a part-time reception role strengthens your application. Tailor your resume to show attention to detail, since that quality stands out immediately at the entry level.
Which companies hire entry level administrative assistants?
Companies hiring entry level administrative assistants right now include DaVita, UCLA Health, and Troy University, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a wide range of employers, including healthcare systems, government agencies, professional services firms, and growing startups that need organized support staff.
Are there remote entry level administrative assistant jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles remain common at this level. About 6% of entry level administrative assistant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates with reliable home-office setups and strong written communication skills have real options beyond their immediate geography.
Are these new grad administrative assistant jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior administrative assistant roles. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and accepts internships, campus organization leadership, or a portfolio of administrative projects in place of full-time work history. Look for phrases like 'no experience required' or 'will train' as strong signals.
Which industries hire the most entry level administrative assistants?
Entry Level administrative assistant roles concentrate in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026.
