Entry Level Aerospace Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level aerospace engineer job?
Start by building a portfolio of school projects, capstone work, or personal designs that show hands-on technical ability. Internship experience is the strongest differentiator at this stage, so apply broadly even for short-term programs. Tailor your resume to each posting, highlight software skills like MATLAB or CAD tools, and demonstrate familiarity with aerospace systems relevant to the employer's focus.
Which companies hire entry level aerospace engineers?
Companies hiring entry level aerospace engineers right now include SEGULA Technologies, TRELLEBORG, and AMERICAN SYSTEMS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring comes from a mix of large defense contractors, government-adjacent engineering firms, and emerging private space companies, many of which actively recruit new graduates into structured early-career programs.

Yes, though most roles at this level are on-site or hybrid given the lab, manufacturing, and testing environments common in aerospace work. About 15% of entry level aerospace engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to on-site positions will have access to the widest range of opportunities.
Are these new grad aerospace engineer jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior aerospace engineer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-op terms toward its requirements, or accepts a strong academic project portfolio in place of full-time work history. Look for language like 'new grad,' 'junior,' or '0-2 years' in the job description.
