This hands-on role combines business analysis, full-stack engineering, SQL and database design, enterprise integrations, and AI-assisted development. The developer owns solutions from requirements and prototype through testing, deployment, training, and stabilization using AI to accelerate delivery while independently validating all code and protecting sensitive data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Software, Applications & Business Solutions
- Lead working sessions within the Genesis ecosystem; document workflows, decisions, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Prototype dashboards, queues, case screens, forms, and reporting views; refine designs with stakeholders before development.
- Own feature delivery, user acceptance testing, training, go-live planning, and post-launch issue resolution.
- Support migration of workflows and data from legacy tools such as third party vendors and CollectOne where appropriate.
Software Engineering & Quality
- Develop and maintain secure software/ platform features using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Next.js, and backend services.
- Build small, reviewable GitHub pull requests; use code review, CI/CD, automated testing, and documented technical decisions.
- Test high-risk workflows rigorously, particularly payments, credit reporting, compliance rules, and audit-sensitive data.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve application reliability, performance, and maintainability.

- Write and optimize SQL queries across PostgreSQL and SQL Server, including joins, aggregations, and window functions.
- Design tables, relationships, migrations, and data mappings for new features and legacy-system transitions.
- Build operational dashboards and reconcile records across platforms, CollectOne, and vendor data sources.
- Apply data validation, access controls, audit trails, and performance best practices.
Systems Integration
- Build and maintain REST APIs, webhooks, scheduled jobs, and secure SFTP/CSV/file integrations with dialers, e-OSCAR, Microsoft 365, Amazon Connect, payment systems, and accounting platforms.
- Define field mappings, authentication, error handling, monitoring, and recovery procedures; maintain integration runbooks.
- Coordinate vendor testing and end-to-end validation before approving production go-live.
AI-Assisted Engineering & Automation
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI coding agents to research, prototype, write, refactor, and test software; review and verify all AI-generated output before release.
- Develop practical AI-powered workflows such as document review, response drafting, scheduling, and recruiting support with appropriate human oversight.
- Create reusable prompts, AI skills, and validation checks; protect consumer data and comply with approved AI and security policies.
- Train internal teams on safe, effective use of AI-enabled tools and new platform functionality.
Security, Documentation & Deployment
- Apply secure development practices, role-based access, authentication, logging, and safeguards for PII and financial information.
- Support SOC 2 evidence collection, vendor assessments, technical documentation, and integration security reviews.
- Prepare test plans, release checklists, rollback procedures, user guides, and production support documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years delivering production software, technical solutions, or enterprise application implementations.
- Strong SQL and relational database expertise, including PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server, schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
- Hands-on AWS, Vercel, Microsoft 365, LLM application, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React or Next.js experience; ability to build features and review AI-generated code.
- Demonstrated use of AI coding agents on real development projects, with sound engineering judgment and validation practices.
- Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, file exchanges, Git/GitHub, pull requests, and deployment workflows.
- Ability to lead requirements discussions, solve ambiguous business problems, communicate clearly, and train nontechnical users.
- Sound judgment handling sensitive customer information, financial records, and audit requirements.
