Analytics Manager Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a analytics manager in Minnesota?
Becoming an analytics manager in Minnesota typically requires a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, economics, or business analytics, with a master's degree preferred at larger employers like those in the Twin Cities healthcare and retail sectors. There is no state-issued license for this role. Most candidates move into management after several years as an individual-contributor analyst, often earning credentials like the Certified Analytics Professional to strengthen their candidacy.
Which companies hire analytics managers in Minnesota?
Minnesota analytics manager roles are posted by Optum, EY, and Anaplan and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in the Twin Cities, particularly in healthcare, retail, and financial services, means the state has a consistently deep pipeline of analytics management openings year-round.
Which Minnesota cities have the most analytics manager jobs?
Minneapolis, Eden Prairie, and Burnsville have the most analytics manager openings in Minnesota. The Twin Cities metro drives the majority of demand, anchored by major corporate headquarters in healthcare, retail, and banking, while Rochester's concentration of medical and research institutions creates steady openings there, and any smaller metro areas on the list reflect large regional employers or growing technology operations based outside Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Are there remote analytics manager jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 85% of analytics manager openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and data-driven nature of the work. The parts of the role most commonly offered remotely include reporting, dashboard management, and stakeholder presentations, while on-site expectations tend to apply when the manager oversees a local analytics team or works closely with operations.
How can I get hired as a analytics manager in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into an analytics coordinator or senior analyst role first, then building toward management. Large Minnesota employers like UnitedHealth Group, Target, and Ameriprise Financial run rotational programs and structured analyst development tracks that allow early-career candidates to gain cross-functional exposure. Earning a Certified Analytics Professional credential or completing a graduate certificate in business analytics from the University of Minnesota strengthens an application considerably and signals readiness for a leadership track.
Where can I find and apply to analytics manager jobs in Minnesota?
You can find and apply to analytics manager jobs in Minnesota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your background and preferences, and apply directly to the ones that match your experience level and target industry.
