Responsibilities

- Oversee daily clinic operations, including patient flow, staff scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, medical billing, and cost control measures.
- Supervise healthcare staff including nurses, administrative personnel, and clinical support teams; foster a positive team environment through effective human resources practices.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations such as HIPAA, JCAHO standards, health regulation policies, and managed care requirements.
- Oversee electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix to maintain accurate medical records and patient management software systems.
- Coordinate with medical management teams to improve clinical workflows, utilize utilization management practices, and enhance patient outcomes.
- Monitor quality assurance processes including medical records accuracy, medical administrative support functions, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in clinic operations by analyzing performance metrics and implementing best practices in healthcare practice management.
Experience
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare operations leadership within a clinical setting.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing procedures, and health regulation policies.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks or Eaglesoft; familiarity with managing electronic health records (EHR).
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams in healthcare environments including nursing or dental clinics.
- Strong background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial oversight, and cost reduction strategies.
- Familiarity with managed care processes, utilization management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulatory standards such as JCAHO accreditation.
- Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with customer service expertise to foster a patient-focused culture.
- Prior experience in acute care or dental clinic environments is highly desirable; knowledge of dental office workflows is a plus.
