Assistant General Manager Jobs in Richmond, VA

The Assistant General Manager serves as the right hand to the General Manager and plays a key role in executing day-to-day operations across both front and back of house. This position helps ensure a seamless guest experience, supports team leadership, and keeps operations running efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy sports bar environment.

You will work closely with the GM to uphold Parlay’s standards, lead the team during service, and help drive overall performance—while also supporting and overseeing the Kitchen Manager to ensure alignment between FOH and BOH operations.

What You’ll Do

• Support daily FOH & BOH operations and lead shifts as Manager on Duty
• Ensure consistent execution of service, food, and beverage standards
• Assist with scheduling, inventory, ordering, and administrative tasks
• Lead, coach, and support FOH staff while partnering with the Kitchen Manager on BOH operations
• Maintain strong communication and alignment between front and back of house
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience—visible on the floor, resolving issues quickly and professionally
• Help manage labor, control costs, and support overall business performance
• Assist with events, promotions, and programming

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of management or leadership experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant
• Strong understanding of both FOH and BOH operations
• Proven ability to lead in fast-paced, high-energy environments
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Comfortable with POS, scheduling, and inventory systems (Toast preferred)
• Must be available to work a flexible, rotating schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Flexible, hands-on, and team-oriented
• Must be 21+
