Your impact
Our onsite Program Management team in Chicago, IL is looking to add an experienced and collaborative Assistant Project Manager – Capital Improvement Program in support of a multi-billion-dollar airport capital Redevelopment Program. The redevelopment will occur in the middle of an active airport and the existing terminal and concourses will remain operational while the new facility is built in place in a phased approach. This position allows for the opportunity to be a major contributor to the growth of one of the busiest airports in the world as part of the program management team.
Reporting directly to a Project Manager, your responsibilities will include management of the design team’s appointed Consultants, partnering with client representatives, management of the client’s contractors. You’ll support the Project Manager with stakeholder coordination, interface management, design and construction oversight, value engineering, reporting, problem solving, risk assessments, preparation of presentation materials and day-to-day project and technical management of activities.
You’ll assist with the preparation of project details in various phases, provide technical support to the Project Manager with design project delivery methods, contract packages, and project execution plans. You’ll interface projects with the Diversity Equity and Inclusion team, assist in managing the design of multi discipline projects, assist with the technical review of design and construction documents, assist with development of the project schedule, and development of design and soft costs, the preparation of the Task Order Service Request documentation for assigned projects and by supporting resolution or responses to Requests for Information.
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction
4+ years’ experience as an Assistant Project Manager at an Architecture, Engineering, Environmental, or Construction organization
Experience as an Assistant Project Manager on projects with a minimum construction value of $50 million
Related design and construction project management experience with building projects, both renovation and new construction
Working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building
Experience leading vertical design and construction projects
Ability to work onsite full time at O’Hare International Airport with the program management team
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Experience working on Aviation project management teams
Experience working on alternate delivery contracts
PMP, DBIA Professional, Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification

This position will be as part of a joint venture team and the selected candidate will be hired by Jacobs, one of the JV or teaming partners.
Posted Salary Range: Minimum
92,000.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper
135,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $92,000.00 to $135,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
