Overview:
The Services Business Unit Manager will provide leadership and direction for day-to-day execution of work of the assigned business unit including overseeing operations, sales and accounting. Specific responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
- Make Safety the number one priority in the business unit.
- Develop and implement execution plan to maximize overall business objectives, and ensure maximum profitability.
- Manage the Services team to maintain, embrace and enforce the company’s Core Values and to lead by example.
- Communicate with Corporate Operations to identify, manage and share overall Best Practices and project resources.
- Hiring and disciplinary duties.
- Meet or exceed growth goals.
- Manage Key Performance Indicators (safety, financial expectations, accurate forecasting, AR management, personnel development, sales team performance).
- Measuring and counteractions on both operations and sales goals.
- Provide key leadership direction for operations within the business unit to ensure a cohesive team. Coordinate and confer with others to resolve operational problems and difficulties and to authorize plans of action within corporate framework.
- Evaluates local performance, for in customer satisfaction and provides leadership for performance enhancement and proactive resolution of issues. Allocates resources as needed to ensure business unit and project team commitments to customers are met.
- Manage personnel priorities relating to technical ability and staffing levels to gain greater efficiencies to improve customer satisfaction and reduce cost. Includes working with service manager to coordinate hiring of staff, conducting performance review, recommending salary changes and resolving internal personnel issues.
- Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements and operates the local office with the highest business ethics. Ensure the quality of work to corporate standards and project requirements.
- Meet or exceed all financial budgets and goals, including reviewing all set-ups, monitoring all pricing, and reviewing cost data with project team(s).
- Implement Productivity Improvements, assure project compliance and quality assurance.
- Maintain consistency in Project and Field Management processes throughout the business unit.
- Maintain Customer Satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be equally passionate about providing services and promoting safety on the job, and have the knowledge and ability to enforce safety policies within the department.
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
- Must understand the company’s policies and procedure, lead by example, create solutions, offer guidance and generally manage the department with little regular supervision needed.
- Must have knowledge of the service business and a minimum of 10 years of successful and verifiable experience.
- Must have experience in outside sales and new business development.
- Ability to manage profit and losses as well as reporting on weekly and monthly projections.
- Ability to create a reliable budget as part of a professional departmental budget plan.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment.
- Well versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
- Quiet environment.
- Climbing stairs.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
PAY RANGE:
USD $112,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
