JOB DESCRIPTION
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Associate Director of International Partnerships, UNLV Global Education [R0151827]
UNLV Global at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (“UNLV”) invites creative, energetic, passionate, innovative leaders to help create strategic opportunities for UNLV to establish, maintain, and grow its global community and reputation around the world. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for the position at the level of Associate Director of International Partnerships.
ROLE OF THE POSITION
Reporting to the Senior Executive Director of UNLV Global, the Associate Director of International Partnerships is a pivotal role dedicated to expanding UNLV's global footprint. This position focuses on establishing and nurturing sustainable international partnerships to enhance UNLV's reputation and internationalize its campus community and academic activities. The role will contribute to the development of a global strategic plan and explore diverse opportunities for UNLV around the world. This role requires evening and/or weekend work and travel.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and managing international partnerships: Establishing and maintaining relationships with universities, government agencies, and other organizations worldwide.
- Managing partnership compliance: Ensures that all processes are followed in the creation, review, and execution of MOUs and Cooperation Agreements and works collaboratively to address all risk assessment in partnership activities.
- Facilitating international travel and visits: Coordinating campus visits for international delegations and managing UNLV’s international travel processes.
- Communication and marketing: Developing partnership content for various communication and marketing platforms to highlight successful internationalization and grow the UNLV brand around the world, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
- Increasing international student enrollment: Collaborating with the Office of Admissions to recruit students, exploring various visa options, and creating strategic recruitment pipelines.
- Building an international alumni network: Establishing and maintaining connections with alumni worldwide to promote UNLV.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in international affairs, cross-cultural communication, education, higher education administration, or related field. Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in program development with oversight of projects and at least 1 year experience in higher education. Relevant previous experience includes work in fundraising and development, academic program management, research development, sponsored programs, international recruitment and admissions leadership, and career services. Requires a valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A Ph.D.is preferred
- 5 years of experience in program development with oversight of projects, 1-3 years of supervisory experience and 1-3 years Management experience.
- Preferred experience includes work and leadership in a global engagement office such as study abroad or international partnerships.
- Experience in international higher education administration.
- Experience working with international governments for partnership development and scholarship programs ;
- Experience leading delegations internationally for partnership development ;
- Experience building alumni chapters abroad.
