Attorney Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a attorney job in Phoenix?
Phoenix hiring concentrates in corporate and transactional law, real estate development, healthcare compliance, and civil litigation, driven by the city's growth in financial services and construction. Large law firms in the downtown core and Camelback Corridor hire the most consistently, while in-house roles at regional healthcare systems and commercial developers are expanding. Candidates with Arizona court or government experience, or a book of business in real estate or corporate M&A, have a clear edge in this market.
Which companies hire attorneys in Phoenix?
Employers hiring attorneys in Phoenix right now include Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, Jobot, and Maricopa County, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Phoenix's mix of regional law firms, national firm satellite offices, large healthcare networks, and publicly traded corporations headquartered in the metro creates consistent demand for both firm-side and in-house counsel.
Are there remote attorney jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though attorney roles are less remote-friendly than many desk jobs given court appearances, client meetings, and document reviews that require in-person presence. About 51% of attorney openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, skewing toward in-house compliance, contract review, and regulatory work rather than litigation. Phoenix's in-house legal teams at technology and financial services companies offer the most hybrid flexibility locally.
How can I get a attorney job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is a judicial clerkship with the Maricopa County Superior Court or the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, both of which are respected springboards into local firm and in-house roles. Regional firms in Midtown and downtown routinely hire first- and second-year associates from Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. Government positions at the Maricopa County Attorney's Office and the Arizona Attorney General also offer structured entry-level tracks that build trial experience quickly.
Which industries hire the most attorneys in Phoenix?
Most attorney openings in Phoenix sit in Staffing & Recruiting, Insurance, and Law & Legal Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Phoenix's rapid population growth, large commercial real estate pipeline, expanding healthcare sector, and influx of financial services and semiconductor firms have all driven sustained demand for legal talent across those fields.
