Job Duties
-
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of advanced automation solutions, leveraging technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA), machine learning, artificial intelligence, or industrial control systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify automation opportunities, and define project objectives and scopes.

Conduct thorough analysis of complex processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for automation, process optimization, and efficiency gains.

Design and architect scalable, robust, and secure automation systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure and applications.

Develop and implement automation strategies, roadmaps, and standards to guide the organization's automation initiatives.

Program, configure, and integrate automation systems and tools, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and interoperability.

Conduct rigorous testing, validation, and documentation of automation solutions, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of automation systems.
-
Stay abreast of emerging automation technologies, industry trends, and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on our operations and recommending innovative solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate the impact of automation on workforce roles and responsibilities, providing guidance and support during the transition.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field, or foreign degree equivalent and 5 years of relevant progressively more responsible experience as an Engineer, or alternate acceptable occupation; OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field, or foreign degree equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience as an Engineer, or alternate acceptable occupation.
Work or academic experience must have included:

Creating LabView programs for automated manufacturing test systems.

Designing and implementing complex automation solutions.

Python, C++, or Java Architect (automation scripting and coding).

Automation Technologies (Robotic Process Automation (RPA), machine learning, artificial intelligence, or industrial control systems).

Industrial automation principles, control systems, sensors, actuators, and data acquisition.
-
Manufacturing Test Specifications.
-
Programming robot systems for manufacturing automation.
-
Electrical and electronic control system design on automated manufacturing test systems.
-
Sensor/transducer selection and implementation to measure.
-
Test and measurement techniques, including signal conditioning, data acquisition and manufacturing test development.
10% of domestic and international travel required.
