Behavior Technician Jobs in Richmond: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a behavior technician job in Richmond?
The strongest path into Richmond's market is targeting the city's established ABA therapy providers, nonprofit behavioral health organizations, and the public and charter school systems that contract behavioral support services. The West End and Southside neighborhoods concentrate the most clinic-based openings. Candidates who hold an RBT credential and have documented direct therapy hours stand out, as do applicants with experience working alongside BCBAs in clinic or home-based settings.
Which companies hire behavior technicians in Richmond?
Richmond behavior technician roles are posted by Centria Healthcare, Amaze ABA, and EzCare ABA and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Richmond's mix of regional ABA practices, community mental health centers, and school division contractors means openings appear across both clinical and educational settings throughout the metro area.
Are there remote behavior technician jobs in Richmond?
Yes, though opportunities are limited by nature since behavior technician work is predominantly hands-on and conducted in homes, clinics, or schools. About 0% of behavior technician openings tied to Richmond are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those tend to be in telehealth-based parent training, data entry support, or program coordination rather than direct therapy delivery.
How can I get a behavior technician job in Richmond with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Richmond is applying to ABA clinics and home-based therapy programs that offer on-the-job RBT training, since many local providers will hire candidates without prior experience and supervise them toward certification. School divisions in the Richmond metro area also hire paraprofessionals and behavioral aides who work alongside credentialed staff, making those roles a strong lateral entry for candidates building toward a full behavior technician position.
