- Run customer credit cards after installations and issue invoices for Net 30 customers.
- Track commercial project progress and prepare AIA billing applications (G702/G703).
- Manage lien waivers, close-out documents, and daily bank deposits.
- Record payments and deposits accurately in QuickBooks Online and Service Fusion.

- Maintain organized records of customer interactions, project updates, and job files.
- Provide general administrative support to the operations and management teams.
Office Administration & Support
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Prepare pre-qualification packages and handle customer credit applications.
- Manage certificates of insurance for projects.
- Track project change orders and maintain detailed records.
- Coordinate with vendors for office-related services (trash removal, gas card management, etc.).
- Provide customers with necessary documentation such as W-9s, warranty letters, and tax-exempt forms.
- Assist with bi-folds program payment tracking.
Qualifications
- Experience in bookkeeping, scheduling, or administrative experience in a construction, service, or trade-based business preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, and/or Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with AIA billing (G702/G703) and lien waiver processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.

Bookkeeper Jobs in Raleigh: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a bookkeeper job in Raleigh?
The strongest footholds in Raleigh are with mid-size professional services firms, commercial real estate companies, and the cluster of healthcare and life-sciences organizations anchored near Wake Med and Duke Raleigh. Jobs concentrate in North Hills, downtown near Fayetteville Street, and the Brier Creek corridor. Candidates who demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks or Sage alongside experience reconciling accounts for multi-entity businesses consistently stand out in this market.
Which companies hire bookkeepers in Raleigh?
Companies currently hiring bookkeepers in Raleigh include Billor, VALERIS, and Kimley-Horn, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Raleigh's employer mix skews toward regional accounting firms, property management companies, and fast-growing technology services businesses that handle their own internal books.
Are there remote bookkeeper jobs in Raleigh?
Yes, bookkeeping is well suited to remote work because the core tasks, entering transactions, reconciling accounts, and producing financial reports, require a computer and software rather than physical presence. About 57% of bookkeeper openings tied to Raleigh are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how readily cloud-based accounting tools have made the role location-flexible. Full-cycle AP and AR positions are the most commonly offered remotely by Raleigh employers.
How can I get a bookkeeper job in Raleigh with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Raleigh is through accounts payable or accounts receivable clerk roles at one of the city's many property management or construction companies, which hire for volume data entry and train up from there. Small nonprofits concentrated near downtown and along Hillsborough Street also take on entry-level bookkeeping assistants. A QuickBooks Online certification and a basic course from Wake Technical Community College's business division gives a Raleigh applicant a clear edge over other entry-level candidates.
Which industries hire the most bookkeepers in Raleigh?
Most bookkeeper openings in Raleigh sit in Chemicals & Materials, Technology & Software, and Consulting & Professional Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Raleigh's sustained population growth and commercial construction boom, combined with the expanding life-sciences corridor, keep demand high across all three sectors for bookkeepers who can manage job-cost accounting and multi-entity reporting.
