Business Analyst Intern Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business analyst intern in Texas?
Most business analyst intern roles in Texas require active enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in business administration, management information systems, finance, or a related field. Texas has no state-issued license for business analysts, so employers focus on academic standing, technical coursework, and demonstrated analytical skills. Completing relevant coursework in data analysis, statistics, or accounting, combined with a strong GPA, is the most reliable path to securing an internship at a Texas employer.
How much do business analyst interns make in Texas?
Business analyst interns in Texas earn a median of about $101,400 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $62,730 for the lowest 10% to over $168,420 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business analyst interns in Texas?
Employers hiring business analyst interns in Texas right now include Lennox International, Citi, and AllianceBernstein, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major energy companies, and regional banks means structured internship programs are common across industries in the state.
Which Texas cities have the most business analyst intern jobs?
Richardson, Irving, and Austin have the most business analyst intern openings in Texas. Houston's energy and healthcare sectors drive significant demand, Dallas is home to a dense cluster of corporate headquarters and financial services firms, and Austin's fast-growing technology industry has made it a consistent source of analytical internship postings across software and consulting companies.
Are there remote business analyst intern jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields, since business analyst work is primarily desk-based and relies on software tools that travel well. About 11% of business analyst intern openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly companies have adapted analytical workflows to distributed settings. Data modeling, requirements documentation, and reporting tasks are the parts of the role most commonly performed off-site.
How can I get hired as a business analyst intern in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to structured internship programs at large Texas employers, many of which are designed for students with no prior work history. Companies like Dell Technologies, Deloitte's Texas offices, and major Texas health systems run defined early-talent programs where selection is based on academic record and problem-solving aptitude rather than a resume. Building a portfolio of Excel or SQL projects from coursework, pursuing a Google Data Analytics certificate, or taking on a student organization analyst role strengthens a Texas application considerably.
Where can I find and apply to business analyst intern jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to business analyst intern jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
