Build Partnerships. Inspire Philanthropy. Change Lives.
Are you a proven relationship builder who thrives on opening doors, inspiring philanthropy, and creating partnerships that change lives?
Since 2013, Care Fund has helped Arizona families remain in their homes while caring for a child facing a serious medical illness or injury. We believe parents should be focused on their child's recovery—not worrying about losing their home. We are a small, staffed charity with a volunteer advisory council of approximately 20-30, in both Phoenix and Tucson.
We're seeking an experienced Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships to lead our major gifts, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships program. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing many hats, building meaningful relationships, and creating measurable impact. If you're looking to help shape the future of a growing nonprofit while making a lasting difference for Arizona families, we'd love to meet you.
Position Summary
As the Director, you will be responsible for expanding philanthropic support through corporate partnerships, gala sponsorships, major donors, foundations, and community engagement, including seeking grant opportunities. In addition, this role will partner with team members to launch major fundraising events. Working closely with the CEO, you will help grow revenue, strengthen strategic partnerships, and elevate Care Fund's presence throughout Arizona.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partnerships, sponsorships, major donors, and foundation relationships.
- Build a sustainable pipeline of philanthropic support through strategic relationship development.
- Represent Care Fund throughout the community by attending networking events, donor meetings, and fundraising events.
- Collaborate with the CEO on fundraising strategy and donor cultivation.
- Prepare sponsorship proposals, presentations, donor communications, and partnership agreements.
- Maintain accurate donor records and fundraising activity using donor management software.
- Identify new opportunities to increase philanthropic revenue and expand community partnerships.
- Support fundraising events and donor stewardship activities, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Contribute to organizational initiatives and willingly wear multiple hats as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, corporate partnerships, business development, or related relationship-based roles.
- Demonstrated success securing significant corporate partnerships, sponsorships, major gifts, or philanthropic investments, with a proven ability to grow fundraising revenue.
- Outstanding relationship-building, networking, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience developing and managing donor or corporate partner relationships.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working independently.
- Passion for serving families and advancing Care Fund's mission.
- Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation for community meetings and events.
Hybrid Work Environment
This is a contract, hybrid position and requires flexibility in both schedule and location. While the role generally includes two in-office days each week, workdays and locations may change based on donor meetings, community partnerships, fundraising events, and organizational priorities.
The position regularly requires attendance at off-site meetings, community events, and occasional evening and weekend activities. Candidates must be able to dedicate their full professional attention to Care Fund during scheduled working hours, regardless of work location.
Leadership & Growth Opportunity
This position is part of Care Fund's long-term leadership succession strategy. The selected candidate will work alongside the CEO to gain a broad understanding of the organization and its operations. Exceptional performance may lead to consideration for future Executive Director opportunities as part of Care Fund's succession planning, subject to organizational needs and approval by the Board of Directors.
Why Join Care Fund?
At Care Fund, every partnership changes lives. Every sponsorship helps keep a family in their home. Every donor relationship creates hope during one of life's most difficult moments.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Business Development Analyst Jobs in Scottsdale: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business development analyst job in Scottsdale?
Focus your search on the employer clusters that drive most of the local hiring: financial services and wealth management firms in North Scottsdale, healthcare technology companies near the Loop 101 corridor, and hospitality and real estate brands headquartered in and around Old Town. Candidates who can demonstrate pipeline analysis, market research, or CRM experience specific to those sectors move faster through local hiring processes. Tailoring your resume to the industry you're targeting matters more here than in more diversified metro markets.
Which companies hire business development analysts in Scottsdale?
Employers hiring business development analysts in Scottsdale right now include onsemi, Colgate-Palmolive, and CVS Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Scottsdale's employer mix leans toward financial services firms, healthcare technology companies, and national brands with regional headquarters in the city's major business corridors.
Are there remote business development analyst jobs in Scottsdale?
Yes, though availability depends on the role. Business development analyst work is largely desk-based and analytical, which makes it more remote-compatible than client-facing or on-site roles. About 43% of business development analyst openings tied to Scottsdale are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the highest concentration of flexible arrangements at technology and financial services employers in North Scottsdale.
How can I get a business development analyst job in Scottsdale with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Scottsdale is targeting associate or junior analyst roles at mid-size financial services firms, healthcare technology companies, or real estate organizations, many of which hire through internship pipelines or promote from sales operations and account management positions. Scottsdale employers hiring at the entry level typically prioritize candidates who can show proficiency in Excel, Salesforce, or similar CRM tools and who demonstrate basic market research skills. A local network built through Scottsdale's active chamber and industry meetup scene accelerates hiring timelines considerably.
Which industries hire the most business development analysts in Scottsdale?
The sectors hiring the most business development analysts in Scottsdale are Healthcare & Medical Services, Chemicals & Materials, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Scottsdale's concentration of financial services headquarters, healthcare technology firms, and hospitality companies with national footprints creates consistent demand for analysts who can support growth strategy and market expansion work.
