Key Account Manager Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a key account manager in Arizona?
Most key account manager roles in Arizona do not require a state-issued license, but employers consistently expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field alongside several years of quota-carrying sales experience. Many candidates move into the role from inside sales, account executive, or customer success positions. In competitive sectors like medical devices or financial services, an Arizona-recognized industry credential such as a Certified Professional Sales Person designation can strengthen a candidate's application considerably.
How much do key account managers make in Arizona?
Key account managers in Arizona earn a median of about $72,390 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,260 for the lowest 10% to over $139,250 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire key account managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring key account managers in Arizona right now include ASM, Henkel, and Amphenol, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's concentration of technology campuses, regional healthcare networks, and financial services headquarters means demand stays broad across industries and account types.
Which Arizona cities have the most key account manager jobs?
Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tolleson lead Arizona for key account manager openings. Phoenix's scale as a corporate hub drives the largest share, while Scottsdale's concentration of software firms, wealth management companies, and medical device offices adds significant volume, and Tempe benefits from its proximity to both Arizona State University's business ecosystem and several major national employer campuses.
Are there remote key account manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than many client-facing roles, since much key account management work centers on calls, video meetings, and CRM activity that translates well to remote settings. About 86% of key account manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the role's strong suitability for distributed work. Fully remote positions tend to concentrate in SaaS, fintech, and insurance verticals rather than in medical device or industrial accounts that require on-site client visits.
How can I get hired as a key account manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a business development representative or inside sales role at one of Arizona's larger technology or healthcare employers, where structured sales training programs build the pipeline skills key account managers use daily. Companies like Amazon Web Services, Honeywell, and Insight Enterprises operate Arizona offices that run formal development tracks for early-career candidates. Completing a Salesforce Administrator credential or a HubSpot Sales certification before applying signals practical readiness that can offset limited tenure in a named-account role.
Where can I find and apply to key account manager jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to key account manager jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings across industries and seniority levels. Search the listings, find roles that fit your background and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that match.
