Outside Sales Representative Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a outside sales representative in Arizona?
Most outside sales representative roles in Arizona require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some employers prioritize demonstrated sales performance over formal education. Arizona does not mandate a state-issued license for general outside sales work, but specialized sectors require additional credentials: medical device sales often requires manufacturer or industry certification, and insurance-related sales requires an Arizona Department of Insurance producer license. Building a portfolio of measurable results and completing employer-sponsored product training accelerates hiring.
How much do outside sales representatives make in Arizona?
Outside sales representatives in Arizona earn a median of about $72,390 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,260 for the lowest 10% to over $139,250 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire outside sales representatives in Arizona?
Employers hiring outside sales representatives in Arizona right now include Canyon Creek Financial, UniFirst, and Acosta, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's concentration of technology distribution hubs, healthcare companies, and industrial suppliers in the Phoenix metro means consistent demand from regional and national firms with large field sales teams.
Which Arizona cities have the most outside sales representative jobs?
Phoenix, Tucson, and Tempe have the most outside sales representative openings in Arizona. Phoenix dominates because of its dense concentration of corporate headquarters, technology firms, and healthcare organizations, while Scottsdale attracts financial services and luxury goods sales roles, and Tucson draws demand from manufacturing, university-affiliated suppliers, and defense-sector contractors that rely on field sales teams.
Are there remote outside sales representative jobs in Arizona?
Yes, but they're rare. Outside sales is defined by in-person client visits, territory management, and relationship-building on location, so fully remote roles are uncommon by the nature of the work. About 30% of outside sales representative openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with most of those hybrid listings covering inside-support or account management functions that blend desk and field responsibilities.
How can I get hired as a outside sales representative in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in an inside sales or sales development representative role at a Phoenix or Scottsdale-area company, then moving into a field territory once you have a record of closed deals. Large Arizona employers in technology distribution and healthcare supply regularly hire sales associates and business development coordinators as stepping stones into outside roles. Earning a product or industry certification, such as a medical sales training certificate or a HubSpot sales credential, signals readiness and gives candidates a concrete edge over other applicants without field experience.
Where can I find and apply to outside sales representative jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to outside sales representative jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings across industries and metros. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your territory preference and industry background, and apply directly to whichever positions fit your experience and goals.
