JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
The Regional Business Development Manager (RBDM) is responsible for driving strategic growth across a defined multi-location region by increasing market share and gross profit through new business acquisition and expansion of existing accounts. This role will focus on high-value targets and regional opportunities, while also collaborating closely with local Business Development Managers (BDMs) and cross-functional teams to align efforts with JAS’ overall commercial strategy.*** We are seeking an experienced sales professional with established market knowledge and relationships across the Pacific Northwest. This position offers remote work flexibility; however, candidates must be located within the Pacific Northwest market.***
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with corporate goals, with a focus on securing and growing SILVER, GOLD, and PLATINUM-level accounts.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across multiple locations or markets within the region.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key regional clients; develop and manage high-level relationships.
- Leverage market intelligence and data to assess emerging trends, risks, and opportunities across the region.
- Prepare and negotiate high-value proposals, pricing, and contractual terms in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor regional sales pipeline activity and provide regular forecasting, progress updates, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Operations, Product, and Executive teams to ensure service delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
- Travel extensively within the region (up to 50%) to engage with clients and internal teams.
- Uphold the JAS Sales Policy and participate in continued training and development initiatives.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No direct formal reports unless assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of business development experience, ideally within international freight forwarding and logistics services, with a proven track record in regional or multi-market sales roles.
- Experience with CRM and CMS tools preferred
- Candidate must be based in the PNW Region
- Thorough knowledge of freight forwarding industry to include - air/ocean/imports/exports/customs brokerage operations.
- Must have a deep knowledge of the regional markets, customers, and competitive landscape. (Region to include - WA
- Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in consultative selling and managing complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to travel frequently within the region.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of business development experience, ideally within international freight forwarding and logistics services.
- Experience selling in the regional market to include - CA, WA, AZ, CO, WY, ID, UT, MT, HI, and AK.
- Experience selling in verticals such as – Projects, Pharma & Healthcare, Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, Technology, Energy Solutions, and Technology.
- Demonstrated success with mid-to-large-scale accounts (SILVER, GOLD, PLATINUM tier).
ACCOUNT CLASSIFICATION
- BASE : Yearly gross profit less than $25,000
- SILVER : Yearly gross profit between $25,001 - $75,000
- GOLD : Yearly gross profit between $75,001 - $150,000
- PLATINUM : Yearly gross profit between $150,001 - $750,000
- DIAMOND : Yearly gross profit exceeding $750,000

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $135,000 annually , in accordance with the state pay transparency law.
Individual pay within this range is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills, and performance. Our goal is to ensure fair and equitable compensation for all employees.
DEFINITION OF ACCOUNTS:
BASE yearly gross profit less than 25,000 dollars
SILVER yearly gross profit 25,001-50,000
GOLD yearly gross profit 50,001-100,000
