Enterprise Sales Director Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a enterprise sales director in Washington?
Enterprise sales director is not a licensed profession in Washington, so there is no state board or required certification to practice. The standard path is a bachelor's degree in business or a related field followed by progressive experience in B2B sales, typically moving from account executive to sales manager before reaching director level. Washington employers in technology and software often treat demonstrated quota performance and team leadership as more decisive than additional credentials.
How much do enterprise sales directors make in Washington?
Enterprise sales directors in Washington earn a median of about $174,000 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,000 for the lowest 10% to over $291,620 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire enterprise sales directors in Washington?
Employers hiring enterprise sales directors in Washington right now include Giga, Adobe, and Deep Sync, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's concentration of global technology headquarters and cloud platform companies means enterprise sales director roles here tend to involve large commercial accounts and cross-functional go-to-market teams.
Which Washington cities have the most enterprise sales director jobs?
Seattle and Kirkland account for the most enterprise sales director openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue drive the bulk of demand because of the dense cluster of technology companies and corporate headquarters in the Puget Sound region, while Redmond draws consistent hiring volume from large campus-based employers that maintain dedicated enterprise sales organizations there.
Are there remote enterprise sales director jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 25% of enterprise sales director openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly technology employers have embraced distributed sales leadership. The portions of the role most likely to stay remote are pipeline management, team coaching, and executive reporting, while new client acquisition and strategic account work often require some in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a enterprise sales director in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is to build a record as a high-performing senior account executive or regional sales manager first, then apply for director roles at mid-size Washington technology companies that promote from within. Companies in the Seattle and Bellevue software ecosystem regularly hire candidates from account management, solutions engineering, or customer success backgrounds into director tracks. Completing a sales leadership certification from a recognized program and quantifying any team mentorship or cross-functional project leadership strengthens an application considerably.
Where can I find and apply to enterprise sales director jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to enterprise sales director jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings updated regularly. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly to the employers posting them.
