We are looking for a Key Account Installation Specialist to join our growing organization!
General Position Summary
The Key Account Installation Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and management of equipment installations for assigned key accounts. This role serves as the primary point of contact throughout the installation lifecycle, ensuring each project is properly planned, communicated, executed, and closed according to customer expectations and company standards.
The specialist works closely with customers, Sales, Sales Operations, Logistics, Warehousing, Customer Experience, third-party installation providers, and internal service teams. A critical responsibility of this position is identifying and resolving installation issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.
This role requires a highly skilled professional with strong leadership capabilities, extensive problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Installation Management
- Manage assigned key account installations from initial order review through final completion and customer acceptance.
- Review sales orders, equipment lists, site requirements, delivery schedules, installation scope, and customer expectations before scheduling.
- Confirm that all required products, accessories, hardware, and installation materials are included and available before the installation date.
- Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with customers, warehouses, carriers, installers, Sales, Logistics, and other stakeholders.
Root Cause Analysis and Issue Resolution
- Lead root cause analysis for installations that do not meet customer expectations or company standards.
- Investigate installation failures.
- Document the sequence of events, contributing factors, ownership gaps, and operational impact associated with installation issues.
Key Account Support and Communication
- Build strong relationships with assigned key accounts by providing proactive, accurate, and consistent communication.
- Provide customers and internal stakeholders with regular status updates, including risks, delays, changes, and recovery plans.
Installer and Vendor Coordination
- Confirm installation providers understand the complete scope of work, schedule, customer requirements, and documentation standards.
- Monitor installer performance related to quality, timeliness, communication, safety, documentation, and customer satisfaction.
Process Improvement and Reporting
- Track key performance indicators such as on-time completion, installation quality, customer satisfaction, issue frequency, recovery costs, and work-order closure time.
- Analyze installation data to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, checklists, templates, and installation management tools.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Excellent computer skills, including a high level of proficiency with MS Office, specifically MS Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Data entry and customer service experience preferred
- Salesforce and Oracle experience preferred
