Most candidates advance through senior account executive or regional sales manager roles before stepping into a director position. North Carolina's concentration of technology companies in the Research Triangle and financial institutions in Charlotte makes those markets the most common proving grounds for candidates moving into director-level enterprise sales roles.
How much do enterprise sales directors make in North Carolina?
Enterprise sales directors in North Carolina earn a median of about $150,470 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $69,350 for the lowest 10% to over $297,760 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
