We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Sales Team Lead specializing in Event Sales to join our growing team. Vacation & Travel Group (VTG) is expanding and seeking an experienced Sales Team Lead to drive high-performing sales reps at premier sporting events throughout the Raleigh-Durham area. This pivotal role combines leadership, strategic sales management, and relationship building to drive revenue growth through innovative event solutions.
As a Sales Team Lead, you will inspire and manage a high-performing sales team, develop and execute targeted sales strategies
In this dual-impact role, you will lead from the front—closing package sales yourself while coaching, motivating, and managing a team of sales professionals at high-traffic booth locations inside and around the region’s top professional, collegiate and minor league venues!
No cold calling, no list prospecting, and no overnight travel. You build and lead a high-energy team right here in Raleigh’s electric sports atmosphere.
What You’ll Do
- Lead by Example: Engage fans and consistently close premium travel package sales on-site before and during events.
- Team Management: Onboard, train, and manage event reps on pitch delivery, objection handling, and quick qualification.
- Operations & Logistics: Oversee booth setup, scheduling, and performance metrics at local Triangle venues.
- Drive Performance: Maintain high energy on the floor and hold the team accountable to daily venue revenue goals.
Requirements
- Location: Must reside in the Greater Raleigh-Durham area with reliable transportation to local venues.
- Proven Sales & Leadership Track Record: 2+ years of face-to-face closing experience (Timeshare, OPC, Vacation Packages, Solar, Event Kiosks) with demonstrated team lead or coaching experience.
- High-Volume Engagement: Comfortable engaging hundreds of event-goers and teaching others how to hook foot traffic.
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work nights, weekends, and event schedules matching local game dates and major tournaments.
