Which California cities have the most team lead, sales jobs?
Dublin, Irvine, and Orange have the most team lead, sales openings in California. The San Francisco Bay Area leads because of its concentration of enterprise software and SaaS companies that rely heavily on structured inside and field sales teams, while Los Angeles draws demand from media, retail, and financial services, and San Diego is driven by biotech, defense, and regional technology employers.

About 33% of team lead, sales openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how widely California's technology sector has adopted flexible work. The roles most likely to stay fully remote are those managing inside sales or SDR teams rather than field or territory-based representatives.

The most realistic entry path is to build a strong individual contributor record first, targeting sales development representative or account executive roles at California technology companies, many of which run structured sales academies or rotational programs for high performers. Companies like Salesforce, ServiceNow, and large California-based insurance carriers regularly promote from within rather than hire external first-time leads. Earning a CRM certification and taking visible ownership of onboarding or training a peer positions you as ready for a team lead opening when one arises.
