There is no state-issued license required to work as an enterprise account manager in California. Most employers require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with a background in B2B sales or account management. California's dense concentration of technology companies means that familiarity with SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software sales is a strong differentiator when applying in this market.
How much do enterprise account managers make in California?
Enterprise account managers in California earn a median of about $80,850 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $43,240 for the lowest 10% to over $168,720 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire enterprise account managers in California?
Employers hiring enterprise account managers in California right now include Amazon Web Services, Klaviyo, and Braze, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. California's outsized technology and enterprise software sector means the state consistently draws some of the highest enterprise account manager hiring volumes of any market in the country.
Which California cities have the most enterprise account manager jobs?
San Francisco, Los Angeles, and California have the most enterprise account manager openings in California. San Francisco leads due to its concentration of enterprise SaaS and cloud headquarters, Los Angeles draws volume from media technology, healthcare IT, and professional services firms, and San Diego's growing cybersecurity and defense technology sector anchors hiring in the region.
