Enterprise Account Manager Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a enterprise account manager in Massachusetts?
Most Massachusetts employers require a bachelor's degree and prior B2B sales experience, typically in inside or mid-market roles before moving into enterprise. There is no state-issued license for this role in Massachusetts. The most common path is to join a Boston-area technology, life sciences, or financial services company as an account executive or sales development representative, build a record of quota attainment, and move into an enterprise territory. Familiarity with Salesforce and formal sales methodologies like MEDDIC or Challenger strengthens candidacy considerably.
How much do enterprise account managers make in Massachusetts?
Enterprise account managers in Massachusetts earn a median of about $83,760 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $48,030 for the lowest 10% to over $162,330 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire enterprise account managers in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring enterprise account managers in Massachusetts right now include Klaviyo, Neo4j, and Blitzy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Massachusetts's concentration of SaaS, medtech, and financial technology companies means enterprise account manager roles here often carry larger average contract values and longer sales cycles than comparable roles in other states.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most enterprise account manager jobs?
Boston, Cambridge, and Waltham have the most enterprise account manager openings in Massachusetts. Boston and Cambridge anchor the market because of the region's dense cluster of enterprise software, biotech, and financial services headquarters, while Burlington draws significant hiring from the Route 128 technology corridor, where companies like Nuance, Rapid7, and Verint have large sales teams.
Are there remote enterprise account manager jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 71% of enterprise account manager openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how heavily the role relies on virtual meetings, CRM work, and executive-level video calls rather than daily on-site presence. The portions most commonly done remotely are pipeline management and internal forecasting, while in-person engagement is still expected for key account meetings and annual business reviews.
How can I get hired as a enterprise account manager in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside account executive role at a Boston-area SaaS or life sciences technology company, which provides structured ramp training and direct exposure to enterprise sales cycles. HubSpot, Rapid7, and Veeva Systems are among the Massachusetts employers known for developing early-career sales talent into enterprise roles. Building proficiency in Salesforce, completing a recognized sales methodology certification, and targeting companies with formal associate account manager programs give candidates without enterprise experience a concrete starting point.
Where can I find and apply to enterprise account manager jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to enterprise account manager jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Find the roles that fit your experience and location preference and apply directly.
