Sales Route Driver Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales route driver in Massachusetts?
Most Massachusetts employers require at minimum a valid Class D driver's license issued by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles, though routes involving larger vehicles require a Commercial Driver's License obtained through the RMV's CDL testing program. A high school diploma or equivalent is the standard education baseline. Candidates typically start by applying to entry-level delivery or warehouse roles at regional distributors and move into route sales positions as they build customer relationships and product knowledge.
Which companies hire sales route drivers in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring sales route drivers in Massachusetts right now include Sodexo, Primo Brands, and Eurest, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Massachusetts's dense network of food service distributors, beverage wholesalers, and consumer packaged goods companies makes it one of the more active states for this role year-round.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most sales route driver jobs?
Hopedale, Agawam, and Boston have the most sales route driver openings in Massachusetts. Boston anchors the market as the state's largest commercial hub with high restaurant and retail density, while Worcester and Springfield serve as distribution corridors for the central and western parts of the state, where regional warehouses and food service hubs generate consistent driver demand.
Are there remote sales route driver jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, but they're rare. The core of a sales route driver's work is physical, involving in-person deliveries, merchandise stocking, and face-to-face customer service on an assigned route. About 0% of sales route driver openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to be administrative or account management roles adjacent to route operations rather than driving positions themselves.
How can I get hired as a sales route driver in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a driver's helper, warehouse associate, or merchandiser role at a Massachusetts food or beverage distributor, then moving into a route sales position once you've demonstrated reliability and customer-facing skills. Large Massachusetts-based distribution operations at companies like Sysco's Boston-area facilities and PepsiCo's regional depots regularly bring on helpers who transition to full routes. Obtaining a CDL through the Massachusetts RMV before applying gives candidates a clear edge over equally inexperienced competition.
Where can I find and apply to sales route driver jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to sales route driver jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current Massachusetts openings in one place. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your license class, experience level, and preferred territory, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
