Overview
Lead a furniture and mattress showroom team that turns customer needs into confident purchases and a welcoming retail experience. As Sales Manager, you’ll guide daily sales and store operations, build product knowledge, and keep the showroom organized, stocked, and ready for customers. Your impact: Strong coaching and attentive service help customers find products that fit their needs while supporting a capable, customer-focused team.
Duties
- Lead, supervise, and schedule the sales team; support recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training and development.
- Set clear sales expectations, coach performance, and use effective managerial communication to strengthen teamwork and customer service.
- Oversee showroom operations, including merchandising, stocking, inventory management and control, purchasing, pricing, and product knowledge.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems, cashiering, cash handling, payroll, bookkeeping, and budgets; apply basic math and retail math accurately.
- Resolve customer concerns, support negotiation and sales, and maintain organized processes, professional phone etiquette, and smooth shift management.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail management, sales management, store management, operations management, or team management; retail industry sales team management or assistant manager experience is valuable.
- Demonstrated leadership, supervising experience, and skills in customer service, retail sales, sales, communication, time management, and organization.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory, merchandising, purchasing, pricing, budgeting, payroll, bookkeeping, and cash handling; comfort with math is important.
- Furniture or mattress retail product knowledge is preferred. Wireless sales experience is not required but may be relevant.
- Multilingual or bilingual communication skills are welcome.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
