Commercial Account Manager Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a commercial account manager in Washington?
Most commercial account manager roles in Washington require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with relevant sales or account management experience. For commercial insurance roles, Washington requires a Property and Casualty Producer License issued by the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner, which involves passing a state exam. For technology and SaaS positions, no state license applies, but employer-recognized certifications in CRM platforms or solution selling methodologies give candidates a competitive edge.
How much do commercial account managers make in Washington?
Commercial account managers in Washington earn a median of about $79,920 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $45,840 for the lowest 10% to over $149,990 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire commercial account managers in Washington?
Employers hiring commercial account managers in Washington right now include HUB International, USI Insurance Services, and Travelers, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's concentration of enterprise technology firms, major commercial insurers, and global logistics companies means steady, year-round demand for account management talent across multiple industries.
Which Washington cities have the most commercial account manager jobs?
Seattle, Tacoma, and Bothell have the most commercial account manager openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue drive the largest share of postings because of the region's dense cluster of enterprise technology firms, major insurers, and corporate headquarters, while Spokane contributes steady demand from regional financial services, healthcare systems, and distribution companies serving eastern Washington and the Inland Northwest.
Are there remote commercial account manager jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of commercial account manager openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and relationship-management nature of the role. Prospecting, reporting, and CRM work are most commonly done remotely, while in-person client meetings and contract negotiations still bring many roles into a hybrid schedule.
How can I get hired as a commercial account manager in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales role at a Washington technology company, where you build pipeline management and client communication skills before moving into account management. Large Washington employers like Concord and Premera Blue Cross run associate account manager and new-producer programs for candidates without direct experience. Earning a Washington Property and Casualty Producer License before applying signals commitment for insurance-focused roles, while a Salesforce Administrator certification strengthens applications for technology account management positions.
Where can I find and apply to commercial account manager jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to commercial account manager jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings across technology, insurance, logistics, and other industries. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
