Arbill is hiring a proven sales rainmaker who is experienced in the safety distribution and safety value added services to hunt and close large, multi-site industrial accounts. We are not looking for an account caretaker or someone who needs a training playbook. You know the industrial safety and PPE landscape inside out, you control your own network, and you have the fuel in the tank to prospect relentlessly, travel heavily, and close complex commercial enterprise deals.
What You Will Do
- Hunt & Build: Generate your own high-value pipeline from scratch; target VP of Safety/EHS, Operations, and Procurement decision-makers at mid-to-enterprise manufacturing, commercial, industrial, and other vertical accounts.
- Sell Comprehensive Solutions: Package and sell full-scope safety programs including PPE, industrial vending solutions, prescription safety eyewear (Rx), and managed safety services/EHS consulting.
- Quarterback Major Deals: Lead end-to-end RFP/RFQ bids, margin negotiations, and executive presentations to secure multi-year agreements.
- Road Warrior Activity: Travel regularly to conduct on-site walk-throughs, safety assessments, and face-to-face closing meetings.
- Proven Safety Distribution Track Record: 5–7+ years of quota-crushing outbound enterprise sales experience specifically in PPE/ industrial safety distribution.
- True Self-Starter Autonomy: Deep domain fluency and supplier/manufacturer familiarity; you hit the ground running with zero ramp-up hand-holding.
- Rolodex & Hustle: Demonstrated track record of winning net-new logos, managing long B2B enterprise cycles, and maintaining high activity.
- Willingness to Travel: High energy and stamina for extensive regional and national travel.

Business Development Manager Jobs in Philadelphia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business development manager job in Philadelphia?
Focus your search on Philadelphia's life sciences corridor along Market Street and University City, where health tech and biotech firms regularly hire business development talent, and on the financial services and insurance firms anchored in Center City. Candidates who can demonstrate experience closing enterprise deals or managing channel partnerships stand out locally. Networking through the Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies and local chambers of commerce also gives applicants a concrete edge in this relationship-driven market.
Which companies hire business development managers in Philadelphia?
Employers hiring business development managers in Philadelphia right now include Hill International, Skilled Wound Care, and Cornerstone Caregiving, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The mix reflects Philadelphia's strong base of regional health systems, specialty insurance carriers, logistics and supply chain firms, and mid-market technology companies with headquarters or major offices in the city.
Are there remote business development manager jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, though it depends on the role, since business development work often requires in-person client meetings and relationship building, making fully remote positions less common than in purely analytical roles. About 58% of business development manager openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at technology and SaaS companies based in Center City and University City.
How can I get a business development manager job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Philadelphia is starting in a sales development representative or account coordinator role at one of the city's many mid-market technology, logistics, or healthcare services companies, then moving into business development once you have a pipeline management record. Philadelphia's life sciences and health tech firms frequently hire junior business development associates who support senior managers on partnership outreach. Completing a local accelerator program or joining the Philly Startup Leaders community can accelerate introductions to hiring managers.
