How do I get a business office associate job in Columbus?
The strongest path in Columbus is targeting its large healthcare systems, university campuses, and insurance carriers, which post business office associate roles more consistently than most other local employer types. Jobs concentrate downtown, in the Medical Center District near Ohio State University, and along the Easton corridor. Candidates with experience in billing, scheduling, or administrative coordination stand out, as do those familiar with healthcare revenue cycle workflows common to Columbus employers.
Which companies hire business office associates in Columbus?

Columbus draws a wide mix of employer types, including regional hospital systems, insurance and financial services companies, and large public universities, all of which maintain active business office functions across multiple departments.
Are there remote business office associate jobs in Columbus?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role's function, with purely administrative or on-site support roles rarely going remote while billing, coding, and data-entry-focused positions are more commonly offered off-site. About 0% of business office associate openings tied to Columbus are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, reflecting a mix of both types. Revenue cycle and insurance-related functions tied to Columbus healthcare employers tend to offer the most remote flexibility locally.
How can I get a business office associate job in Columbus with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Columbus is targeting healthcare system administrative openings, since OhioHealth, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and similar large employers regularly hire for entry-level business office roles with on-the-job training. Front desk coordinator and patient access representative positions are common lateral entry points that feed into business office associate tracks.
